Food, Folks and Fun
Casual Dining - We will not meet in July, but will be dining out on Saturday, August 2nd. Save the date on your calendar and join us for an evening of good food, friendship and fun. All Newcomers, both singles and couples are welcome. Contact Millie Pressler for details.

Group Games
Bridge AM - First Thursday of the month at 10 AM. We will meet July 3rd, 2008 at the Nineteenth Hole (Jacaranda Country Club) at 10:00 a.m. Beverly Mattox is the hostess.
Bridge PM - Meets on the second Tuesday of the month at Deicke Auditorium. Next meeting is at Deicke on July 8th at 7:00 pm. Sallie Dettling is the hostess.
Bunco - Meets on the fourth Monday of the month (July 28th) at 7:30 PM at Deicke Auditorium. Any questions call Connie Wallace.
Misc
Book Club - Our summer book will be Harriet and Isabella, by Patricia O’Brien, based on a 19th century scandal involving one of America’s most brilliant preachers. We will meet on Tuesday, July 29th in the evening. We will not meet in August, but those who like to read ahead, our September book will be the Power of One by Bryce Courtenay. Geneology - The genealogy group is also on vacation and will begin again in the Fall with a great new season.
Ladies Foreign Movie Club - We will meet at the Sunrise 11 Cinema on Sunday, July 13th at 2:00 PM to see Strike directed by Volker Schlondorff (2006). This drama is based on the Solidarity movement in Poland. Shelly Isaacs will lead a discussion after the movie. Cost is $10. Call Phyllis Singer if you want to go and we can decide on a restaurant to go to after the film.Sunday afternoon movies at the Sunrise Theatre followed by dinner.
Play Reading - We will commence in the Fall when the curtain will go up on another interesting season. Estelle Rubenstein is the contact.
